The steering mechanism of cars without the steering amplifier is shown on fig. 5.30, the steering mechanism in gathering (without the amplifier) – on fig. 5.31.
Removal
Establish the car on the lift.
Lift the car.
Disconnect the forward muffler.
Remove forward wheels.
Beat out контровочный шплинт nuts and a stripper выпрессуйте a finger of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught from a rotary fist.
In salon disconnect a shaft of a steering from the steering mechanism.

Turn away bolts  of fastening of a back arm of a suspension bracket of a transmission (fig. 5.32).

Establish under a stretcher a jack for transmissions and turn away four bolts of fastening of a stretcher (fig. 5.33).

Turn away a bolt of fastening of the steering mechanism and remove a fastening collar (fig. 5.34).

Remove the steering mechanism in gathering with draughts, stretching it to the right party of the car (fig. 5.35).
Clamp the steering mechanism in a vice with brass or aluminium overlays.

THE PREVENTION

It is supposed to clamp the steering mechanism in a vice only its adjusting part. Зажатие any its other part can cause damage of the steering mechanism (fig. 5.36).

Check up the rotation moment приводной gear wheels (fig. 5.37), rotating it with a speed one turn approximately for 4–6 with.
The moment of rotation 0,6–1,3 Н·м.

THE PREVENTION
The rotation moment приводной gear wheels is measured in area of all course рейки.

If the rotation moment does not correspond to norm, adjust an emphasis рейки, then again check up the rotation moment.
If emphasis adjustment рейки does not possible to receive the necessary moment, check up emphasis details рейки and if necessary replace them.
Some times sharply turn steering draught.
By means of spring scales measure the resistance moment проворачиванию steering draught. It should be equal 8–22 Н·м.
If the received value exceeds norm, replace steering draught.

THE PREVENTION
If the resistance moment проворачиванию below the specified limit, probably further use of steering draught provided that its rotation occurs smoothly, without excessive люфта.

Check up protective covers on presence of damages and deterioration of property of a material.
Be convinced of correctness of installation of covers.
Faulty covers replace new.
Dismantling

Turn away a counternut, remove an emphasis spring, an emphasis рейки (fig. 5.43) and the loose leaf.

Against the stop displace рейку inside картера the steering mechanism and clamp картер at level of a gear part рейки in a vice with brass sponges. Turn away the internal spherical hinge of steering draught and disconnect draught from рейки (fig. 5.44).
Take out рейку from картера the steering mechanism.

Take out рейку in a direction to a car left-hand side not to damage the loose leaf teeths рейки (fig. 5.45).

Assemblage
Put on рейку greasing of the specified mark, insert рейку in картер the steering mechanism, establish in картер приводную a gear wheel.
Insert рейку in картер on the left side.
At installation приводной gear wheels enter it into gearing with рейкой.
Remove surplus of greasing.
Before installation of an epiploon of the steering mechanism put on it greasing.

       THE NOTE
Epiploon replace new.

Establish an emphasis рейки, an emphasis spring, the adjusting screw of an emphasis and wrap a counter-nut.
Tighten the adjusting screw of an emphasis рейки the moment 11 Н·м, then turn away it on a corner 30–60 °. Tighten a counternut of the adjusting screw.

THE PREVENTION
Emphasis adjustment рейки spend at average position рейки. A counternut establish on hermetic.

Attach steering bent for рейке and законтрите it кернением (fig. 5.46).
Establish into place a cover рейки and fix its collar and a clip.
Clamp a tip of steering draught in a vice and establish a protective cover of the spherical hinge.
Establish a tip on steering draught.
Installation
Establish the steering mechanism through the right party of the car.
Fix the steering mechanism on a stretcher.
Lift a stretcher a jack and fix it on a body.
Fix a back arm of a suspension bracket of a transmission. Attach tips of steering bent for to rotary fists.
Establish into place the forward muffler.
Lower the car.
Establish forward wheels.
In salon attach a steering shaft to the steering mechanism.

The steering mechanism of cars with the steering hydraulic booster is shown on fig. 5.47, the steering mechanism in gathering (cars with the steering hydraulic booster) is shown on fig. 5.48.
Removal
Establish the car on the lift.
Merge a working liquid from hydraulic booster system.
Remove forward wheels.
Beat out контровочный шплинт nuts and by means of the adaptation выпрессуйте the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught from a rotary fist.
In salon disconnect a shaft of a steering from the steering mechanism.
Lift the car.
Remove a collar of fastening of a hose of a high pressure and turn away a bolt of a collar of fastening of a drain hose of system of the hydraulic booster.
Disconnect the forward muffler.
Turn away bolts of fastening of a back arm of a suspension bracket of a transmission.
Turn away a bolt of fastening of the steering mechanism and remove a fastening collar.
Establish under a stretcher a jack for transmissions and turn away four bolts of fastening of a stretcher.
Disconnect from the steering mechanism of the union of the pipeline of a high pressure and the drain pipeline.
Remove the steering mechanism in gathering with draughts, having stretched it to the right party of the car.
Check of a technical condition and adjustment
Turn away a bolt of fastening of the steering mechanism and remove a fastening collar.
Remove the steering mechanism in gathering with draughts, stretching it to the right party of the car.
Clamp the steering mechanism in a vice with brass or aluminium overlays.

PREVENTIONS
It is supposed to clamp the steering mechanism in a vice only its adjusting part. Зажатие any its other part can cause damage of the steering mechanism.
Check up the rotation moment приводной gear wheels, rotating it with a speed one turn approximately for 4–6 with; the rotation moment should be equal 0,6–1,3 Н·м.

       THE NOTE
The rotation moment приводной gear wheels is measured in area of all course рейки.

If the rotation moment does not correspond to norm, adjust an emphasis рейки, then again check up the rotation moment.
If emphasis adjustment рейки does not possible to receive the necessary moment, check up emphasis details рейки and if necessary replace them.
Some times sharply turn steering draught.

Slowly putting forward рейку, merge a working liquid from картера the steering mechanism.
Chisel unbend a lock washer of fastening of steering bent for рейке.
Disconnect steering draught from рейки.

THE PREVENTION
At a detachment of steering draught from рейки track that on рейку the effort of twisting did not operate.

Turn away a counternut of the adjusting screw of an emphasis рейки.
Turn away an emphasis a face key «on 14».
Turn away a counternut, take out from the steering mechanism the adjusting screw of an emphasis рейки, an emphasis spring, an emphasis рейки and the loose leaf.
Disconnect feeding pipeline from картера the steering mechanism.

Remove the distributor case, having turned away bolts (fig. 5.50).
When the end of a lock ring leaves an aperture with a groove, turn a stopper рейки counter-clockwise and remove a lock ring.

Accept safety measures not to damage a mirror of the cylinder of the valve приводной a gear wheel in картере the steering mechanism.

By means of the special adaptation take out an epiploon and the ball bearing from the distributor case (fig. 5.54).
Check of a technical condition
1. Рейка.
Check up teeths рейки on presence of damages and deterioration.
Check up a surface of contact to an epiploon on presence of damages.
Check up рейку on  curvature or twisting presence  .
Check up an epiploon ring on presence of damages or deterioration.
Check up an epiploon on  presence  of damages or deterioration.
2. A privodnaja gear wheel and the distributor.

Check up teeths приводной gear wheels (fig. 5.55)  on presence of damages or deterioration.
Check up a surface of contact to an epiploon on presence of damages.

3. The bearing.
Check up the bearing on presence of jammings or the raised noise at rotation.
Be convinced of absence of an excessive backlash in the bearing.
Be convinced available all needles of the bearing.
Check up a cylinder mirror картера the steering mechanism on presence of damages and protective covers on presence of damages, cracks or ageing.
Assemblage
Grease with working liquid PSF-3 all surface of an epiploon рейки.

Establish an epiploon in картер the steering mechanism in the position shown on fig. 5.56.
Put working liquid PSF-3 on all  surface of the plug of an epiploon рейки.
Establish an epiploon in the plug рейки.
Put a working liquid on all surface of a sealing ring and establish a ring in the plug рейки.
Put on teeths рейки universal greasing SAE J310a, NLGI #2 ЕР.

Insert рейку in картер the steering mechanism, insert the plug рейки and displace it inside before combination with a groove картера then fix the plug (fig. 5.57).
By means of the special adaptation establish an epiploon and the ball bearing in the distributor case.
Establish the distributor in картер the steering mechanism for what put on the distributor a working liquid and greasing.
Put on an epiploon a working liquid, establish it in картер the steering mechanism and fix the distributor and a sealing ring in картере.
Attach steering draught and законтрите it кернением by means of a chisel.
Establish the loose leaf, an emphasis рейки, an emphasis spring in the order shown in drawing. Pe-red installation put hermetic on a carving of the adjusting screw of an emphasis рейки.
At average position рейки wrap the adjusting screw of an emphasis рейки in картер the steering mechanism and a face key «on 14» tighten its moment 12 Н·м, then from-return the screw on a corner 30–60 ° and tighten a counternut of the screw the moment 50–70 Н·м.
Tighten the union of fastening of the feeding pipeline of system the specified moment and establish a rubber pillow on glue.
Put silicone greasing on an installation site of a protective cover (in a flute) steering draught.
Establish on a cover a new collar of fastening.

       THE NOTE
Each time at cover installation replace a fastening collar new.

Establish a cover into place, without supposing it перекручивания.

Put greasing in a protective cover of the spherical hinge of steering draught and on an edge of a cover and fix a cover a lock ring, having got it in a hinge flute (fig. 5.58).
Greasing And (fig. 5.58 see) – POLE LUB GLY 801К or similar.
Greasing In SHOWA SUNLIGHT MB 2 or similar.
Cavity and edge of a protective cover – THREE BOND.
Establish the spherical hinge on steering draught.
Check up the rotation moment приводной gear wheels.
Installation
Establish the steering mechanism into place through the right party of the car.
Fix the steering mechanism on a stretcher.
Attach to the steering mechanism the pipeline of a high pressure and the drain pipeline.
Lift a stretcher a jack and fix it on a body.

Remove forward wheels.

Turn away two bolts of fastening in the top part of a forward bumper (at removal of the drain pipeline).

Turn away a bolt (10 mm) clip of fastening of the drain pipeline (fig. 5.64) (at removal of the drain pipeline).
Disconnect from a hose from outside a tank of the pump of the hydraulic booster and remove the drain pipeline (at performance of works on the drain pipeline).
Installation
Establish the car on the lift.
Insert the drain pipeline in a direction from the top part of a forward bumper to its bottom part and wrap two bolts of fastening.
Establish the drain pipeline and a hose, wrap a bolt of a collar of fastening and establish a tank (at installation of the drain pipeline and a hose).

Attach the drain pipeline to a hose from outside a tank of the hydraulic booster and from outside the drain pipeline and a hose, fix its clips (fig. 5.65) (at installation of the drain pipeline).
Establish into place a hose and the high pressure pipeline, attach them to the hydraulic booster pump (at installation of a hose and the high pressure pipeline).
Lift the car.
Attach the pipeline of a high pressure and the drain pipeline to the steering mechanism.
Establish under a stretcher a jack for transmissions, screw and tighten four bolts of fastening of a stretcher.
Tighten a bolt of a collar of fastening of the pipeline of a high pressure and the drain pipeline.
Fix a back arm of a suspension bracket of a transmission to a stretcher
Attach to the engine the forward muffler.
Lower the car.
In salon attach a steering shaft to the steering mechanism.
Tighten two bolts of fastening in the top part of a forward bumper (at pipeline installation).
Attach tips of steering bent for to rotary fists.
Establish forward wheels.
Fill in a working liquid in a tank of the pump of the hydraulic booster.
Check of a technical condition
Check up hoses on presence of cracks, overwinding their hands.
Be convinced that hoses do not concern other details.
Refuelling of system of the hydraulic booster by a working liquid
Fill in a liquid in a tank of the pump of the hydraulic booster to a label «MAX».
Jack lift a forward part of the car before posting of wheels and turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop five-six times with speed of 13 mines-1, resulting in dej-stvie the hydraulic booster pump, scrolling the engine a starter, but without starting it.
Start up the engine idling and some times turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop in both parties until in a liquid in a tank there will be no air vials.
Refuelling is finished, if the liquid not dairy colour and its level constantly is at a label "MOVE".

THE PREVENTION
If liquid level varies at rotation of a steering wheel or there is a modulation of a liquid from a tank at an engine stop, means, air is removed from system not completely. It is necessary to repeat system prorolling as it is specified above as air presence leads to the raised noise at work of the hydraulic booster and to its premature failure.

The pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering

The hydraulic booster pump is shown on fig. 5.66. It provides pressure and circulation of a working liquid in system. On cars Hyundai Getz the lamellar pump of the hydraulic booster is established. Lamellar pumps have gained the greatest distribution in hydrosystems of a steering of cars thanking their high EFFICIENCY and low sensitivity to deterioration of working surfaces. The pump fastens on the engine, its drive is carried out by a belt drive from a cranked shaft.
Removal
Disconnect from the pump a high pressure hose.

Disconnect soaking up hose from the soaking up pipeline and merge a liquid in the prepared capacity (fig. 5.67).

Ослабьте an inhaling of an adjusting bolt of a tension of a belt of a drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.68).
Remove a belt of a drive from a pulley of the pump of the hydraulic booster.
Remove the hydraulic booster pump, having turned away bolts of fastening of the pump and a bolt of adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive.
Remove an arm of the pump of the hydraulic booster.

Turn away two bolts of fastening and remove soaking up branch pipe and a sealing ring from the pump case (fig. 5.69).

Uncover the pump, having turned away four bolts (fig. 5.70).
Remove кулачковое a ring.
Nippers remove a lock ring from a rotor shaft.
Remove a rotor and shovels.
Remove a lateral cover of the pump.
Take out a shaft with a pulley from the pump case.
Take out an epiploon from the pump case.
Turn out from the case of the pump the union and take out from the union the adjusting valve and a valve spring.
Take out from the union a sealing ring.

THE PREVENTION
Do not assort the adjusting valve.

Check of a technical condition
Check up length of a spring of the adjusting valve a free condition.
It should make 36,5 mm.
Be convinced that the adjusting valve will not drive.
Check up a rotor shaft on presence of deterioration and damages.
Check up a drive belt on presence of deterioration and deterioration of properties of a material.
Check up grooves of a rotor and shovels on presence of layered abrasive deterioration.
Check up contact surfaces between кулачковым a ring and shovels on presence of layered abrasive deterioration.
Assemblage
Establish in the union a sealing ring, a spring of the adjusting valve and the adjusting valve. Wrap the union in the pump case.

By means of the adaptation 09222-32100 запрессуйте an epiploon in the pump case (fig. 5.71).
Establish in the case of the pump a shaft of a rotor with a pulley.
Check up rotor shovels on presence of damages.
Establish a lateral cover and a rotor.
Insert a lock pin into a groove of the case of the pump and establish кулачковое a ring.

Nippers fix a rotor on a shaft a lock ring (fig. 5.73).
Establish a lining and a pump cover.
Establish soaking up branch pipe with a sealing ring.
Installation
Establish the pump on a fastening arm, put on a pulley a belt of a drive and tighten a bolt of adjustment of a tension of a belt the moment 2,5–3,0 Н·м for cars with engines in working volume of 1,3 l, the moment 3,5–5,0 Н·м for cars with engines in working volume of 1,5 l.
Attach soaking up hose.

THE PREVENTION
High pressure hose attach to the pump the end with colour marks.

Attach to the pump a high pressure hose.
Restore to norm level of working liquid PSF-3 in a hydraulic booster tank.

       THE NOTE
At connection of a hose of a high pressure to the pump do not suppose it перекручивания and contacts about other details.

Remove air from hydraulic booster system.
Check up pressure of forcing of the pump of the hydraulic booster.

The steering with the electroamplifier is shown on fig. 5.74.,

Principle of action of the electroamplifier of a steering
The additional effort to a steering wheel is created by the electric motor of the amplifier of the steering which action does not depend on car power setting. Management of the electric motor is carried out depending on traffic conditions thanks to what higher is provided, than at hydraulic booster use, adaptability of degree of strengthening, energy consumption decreases. The electroamplifier allows to reduce environmental contamination as in it the liquid is not used, and absence  of pipelines and hydrosystem hoses in a motor compartment allows to reduce weight of the car.
The gauge of a twisting moment of the steering wheel, the electroamplifier entering into system, magnetic field change will transform to a signal of a current depending on a difference of an angle of rotation between entrance and target shaft at twisting торсиона.
The steering electroamplifier
(ЭУРУ) it is located in salon and consequently it is protected from pollution, influence of heats (from the engine in a motor compartment) and negative influence of environment.

PREVENTIONS
Do not suppose blows on electronic elements. In case of falling and blow drawing replace their new.
Protect electronic elements from heat and humidity influence.
Do not touch conclusions of wires not to admit their deformation and predotvra-tit probability of influence of a static electricity.
Do not suppose blows on details of the electric motor and the gauge of a twisting moment of a steering wheel. At falling or blow drawing replace their new.
Separate and connect contact sockets at the switched off ignition.

ЭБУ the steering electroamplifier writes down in memory and displays arising malfunctions (tab. 5.1). Before to start search of malfunctions ЭУРУ, check up amplifier power supplies.

At serviceable system control lamp ЭУРУ lights up at inclusion of ignition and dies away after engine start-up. At malfunction occurrence control lamp ЭУРУ continues to burn and after engine start-up but if malfunction has already arisen before engine start-up the lamp will not burn.
Control lamp ЭУРУ lights up under following conditions:
– Speed of movement of the car no more than 1 km/h, frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft not less than 2500 mines-1 during more 20 with;
– Frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft no more than 400 mines-1, speed of movement not less than 50 km/h during more 21 with.
Emergency operation of work of the electroamplifier of a steering are described in tab. 5.2.
