For car identification identification number (VIN) serves. It is put on a car body in two places: on the central rack of a body in its bottom part and on a body floor under a forward passenger seat. Number location on the central rack of a body is specified by an arrow in fig. 1.3, the locations see cars GI-2 fig. 1.4 and 1.5.
The location of identification number on a body floor under a forward passenger seat is specified by an arrow in fig. 1.6.
Identification number (VIN) has seventeen positions. Number structure is shown on fig. 1.7, in
Tab. 1.4 is described number decoding.

Engines of cars are supplied by identification numbers. Places of their drawing (see to an arrow) are shown on fig. 1.8, 1.9, 1.10.
Identification number of the engine has six positions. The structure of identification number is shown on fig. 1.11, its decoding is resulted in tab. 1.5.
